HEGEL, Andrew F. Sr.

Andrew F. Hegel Sr. A 55 year resident of San Dimas, Ca passed away at home February 19th, 2017. He was born on March 10th, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York and was a resident of Fairfield, Connecticut, until he relocated his family to California in 1959. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran and served in the US Army's Infantry Regiment. He worked as a Machinist, then for United Air Conditioning Company and later retired from Bonita Unified School District. He loved going on cruises, visiting casinos and his daily comradery with friends at the donut shop.
A very devoted family man, Andrew is survived by his wife Amelia of 64 years, Daughters Darlene & her husband AJ Hamilton of Enumclaw, Wa, Karen & her husband James Kimbrough of Moreno Valley, Ca and Son Andrew F. Hegel Jr of San Dimas, Ca. He leaves behind 9 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren, also family members whom he dearly loved. He was a member of the American Legion, also a Masonic Member for 50 years as a Master Mason . A Memorial Service will be held at Oakdale Memorial in Glendora, Ca on March 10th, 2017 at 3:00pm. His remains will be sent on to Riverside Military Cemetery.
