I found John's dad's obituary online quite by accident and was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing last year. Although it's very late, I express my sympathies and add my prayers for his family.
It's been many, many years since I last saw Mr. & Mrs. B-L, John, Angela, and Katie, but your family has a special place in my memories of childhood. I remember with fondness the interesting way Mr. B-L's accent changed my name, and the good-natured mussing of my hair as he came home from work many a Friday or Saturday to find me at his home (again). I have wonderful memories of my adventures with John, and one of the most vivid is of a time Mr. B-L took us fishing for sunfish at Piney Run. He was a wonderful man who impacted my life. I have missed him and will miss him more.
I pray blessings to his family. I see that your family has grown over the years. May the Lord strengthen you all, always.

Kathy & John--
I have warm memories of Angel when I came to visit you in Maryland. You were such gracious hosts. He was a good man, and clearly loved his children greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Having been part of the family for the last 16 years (Carolyn is our daughter), we are deeply saddened.
Kathy, he will always be in our minds and hearts, as we have had some wonderful gatherings. We are praying for you. All our love,

We joined Angel's family around 12 years ago. Angel was like another father to my son Russ, who is Angel's son-in-law (Kate's husband). For that we'll always be grateful. To see them together posturing back and forth (my son does a decent Angel impersonation) was not only funny but indicative of the fondness and admiration each had for the other. Angel is a man who deserves deep respect and admiration. He loves his family dearly and will continue to live on forever in all our minds. My wife, Victoria, and I were proud and thankful to have known him and we know God will love his potato omelettes as we do.

Papa, Thanks for all the wonderful stories, laughter and for teaching me how to make paella. You'll never really be gone because you reside in the hearts of all whom you have touched. I'm so glad one of those hearts was mine. XOXOX
