Anna Zerr Obituary


Anna Marie (Johe) Zerr, 92, passed away May 14, 2014 in the Manor at Market Square.

Born in Shillington, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Sadie M. (Frantz) Johe.

She was a 1940 graduate of Shillington High School. Anna was a machine operator for Leininger's Hosiery and later was employed in the dietary department at the Reading Hospital, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Open Bible Fellowship Church in Reading.

Anna is survived by

her cousin Ruth Frantz

and second cousins Paul, Charles and Jeff Frantz.

She was predeceased by her son, Kent Martin Zerr.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.

I had the privilege of working with Anna Marie when I was a young girl in high school. She was unfailingly cheerful and positive; a wonderful role model for someone just starting her first job.

Anna Marie... You were a bright shining star when you came to our office for your visits, we loved having you lift our spirits and make us laugh. You will be remembered so fondly for your joyful disposition and I know now that you are at peace and with your Precious Ken again. You loved The Lord so dearly and have been wanting to go for so long. May Heaven embrace your spirit for all the faith you have had.. They have truly gained an Angel!! I will miss you!! God Bless!!
