An employee of the Office of Public Health/St. James Parish Health Unit. Survived by: husband, Lawrence "Lawman" Stein, Vacherie, LA; daughter, Christy Loupe and husband, Lee, Thibodaux, LA; son, Todd Stein and wife, Jessica, Thibodaux, LA; grandchildren: Alyssa Ledet, Aubrey and Kaitlyn Loupe and Charley Grace Stein; mother, Theresa Gravois Oubre, Vacherie, LA.; sister, Catherine Hymel, Vacherie, LA; and brother, Eddie Oubre, Jr., Vacherie, LA. Preceded in death by: father, Eddie J. Oubre, Sr.; brothers: Wade Oubre, Lowell Oubre and Timothy Oubre; and sister, Ellen Mula. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, LA. Conducted by Rev. Michael Miceli. Interment: Church Mausoleum.
