Bobbie King Obituary

Bobbie F. King, 90, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on April 16, 2025. Mrs. King was born on February 26, 1935, in Pauls Valley, OK to the late Glaston Douglas Travis and Ethel Weaver Travis. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D King; daughter, Vanessa Dale King; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Glenn King (Deborah); daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Andy); daughter, Stacy Wessels (Mitch); grandchildren: Jessica Welch, Melissa King, Conner King, Raymond Wooley, Patrick Johnson, and Taylor Wessels; and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Mrs. King has been a long-time member of the Olive Branch Senior Center Golden Branches and the Olive Branch YMCA aquatics. She was a world traveler and some of her favorite destinations were Hawaii, Germany, England, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia. She also had a love for animals, especially dachshunds. The family invites friends to join them for a memorial gathering and time of remembrance at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Olive Branch Senior Center (8800 College St., Olive Branch, MS 38654) or St. Jude’s (www.stjude.org) in her honor.
