July 30, 2012,
Brantley Thomas Green was born, to Benjamin Green and Nicole Lanshaw.
Brantley was a uniquely remarkable soul; his laughter was contagious with a smile that could make the darkest of storms disappear. His determination shined as soon as he learned to walk. His curiosity and need for speed had him running circles any chance he found. He started his ninja career the second he learned to kick. He was fearless and ready to try everything. He was constantly eager to learn. He spent hours sitting with his parents asking about the world. He was ready to travel and explore. He captured sunsets in the same excitement he would catch fireflies.
Ben and Brantley's most precious moments were often spent sitting on the dock of the bay, whether listening to music or competing on who would catch the bigger fish that morning. If there was a sport he could get to, he was there, basketball, football, baseball, golf, you name it and that's what he wanted to do. Brantley also loved board games with family like Uno, Scrabble, Tic-Tac-Toe; and he recently started to master chess. He loved cooking and even made music, would sing his heart out, and was teaching himself how to play the guitar.
He never met a stranger and always treated everyone with love and respect. He was full of spontaneity, bravery, and intelligence. His logic and thoughts were ahead of his time. The love in him ran deep and his ethereal beauty was something words couldn't begin to describe. He was about his family, and his hugs were healing. He was truly a momma's boy in the sense of making sure mom and the family were taken care of. Our little man of the house. The hours he spent in the garage building stuff with his dad and Grumpy, his grandfather. He loved when his grandmother, GG would read to him. If Kenzie, Cali, or Parker were doing something Brantley would beat them to the door. Always ready to ride. He went from being the baby at moms' house to being the big brother when Alaina Green and Rhett Green were born. His younger siblings allowed him to prove he could be big brother and baby brother without missing a beat. He loved being a part of the studio and recording with dad (not stepdad, he was proud to have 2 dads). Music was a passion that he made a part of his daily life. Even if mom played "oldies" on the way to school he still rocked out in the car.
On October 12, 2025, the final chapter of his story came to an end. He was preceded into the next life with his Aunt Rachel, Aunt Kristin, and Aunt Jeanna.
He leaves the memory of his light with his parents Benjamin Green, Patrick Lanshaw and Nicole Lanshaw. Siblings include Kenzie, Cali, Parker, Alaina, and Rhett. Grandparents Jerry (Grumpy) and Julie Green (GG), Tony (Papa) and Melodee (Grandma) DiFillippo, and Marcia DiFillippo (G-Ma).
He also leaves his memory behind to a very large family with a countless list of aunts, uncles, cousins, and godparents.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child at this website. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/buildonline/ For the last five years, Brantley, with grandparents ,Julie and Jerry, would help shop and pack a Christmas Box for
Samaritan's Purse. He was excited to pick out toys and school supplies that would be delivered to countries all across this world to make a child happy and hear the good news of Jesus.
A public celebration of Brantley's life will be posted at a later date. Published by The Daily Memphian on Oct. 23, 2025.
