Bret Chambers Obituary

Bret Chambers, AKA Yank James, age 64, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1958, in Michigan City, Indiana. He was a painting contractor. He enjoyed being retired, loved life and was always the life of the party. He and Alicia enjoyed going on new adventures. He enjoyed fishing, going on trips and riding his 2012 Harley Street Glide. He was a very special man, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma L. Westphal. He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Knight; children, Gina Chambers of La Porte, Indiana, Carrie Bailey of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, and Jonathan Chambers of Lake Station, Indiana; father, Wallace Chambers; sisters, Carol Barger of La Porte, Indiana, and Shaun Renee Hale of La Porte, Indiana; brothers, Lucky Westphal and his wife, Stacy of Michigan City, Indiana, and Dwayne Umphrey of La Porte, Indiana; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Sunday April 2, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Donelson American Legion Post 88, 2717 McCampbell Ave, Nashville, TN, 37214, 615-889-9318.
