Caleb Watkins Obituary
He was preceded in death by his beloved Nannie, Claribel Fields.
Survivors include his daughter, Emma Faith Watkins; step daughter, Payton Church; parents, Troy and Clara Smith and Darien Watkins; sisters, Heather Whatley (Daniel), Mahaley Lancaster, Whitney Riley (Brandon) and Shelbi Mallahan; brothers, Justin Smith and Austin Mallahan; and grandparents, Lowell and Linda Fields, Wanda Winchester, Vonda Robertson, Dennis and Lori Robertson, Lynda Wright and David Watkins.
Brent was born on September 24, 1988 to Darien and Clara. He grew up in Windham Springs and Northport. He attended Buhl Elementary, Walker Elementary and Northside High School.
Brent was quick with a smile and enjoyed to make others smile and laugh. It was never too late or too far away whenever a friend needed him. He was always willing to help. He loved his family very much and grew up close to his siblings.
Brent loved his step daughter, Payton Church. In 2010, he was blessed with a daughter, Emma, whose big smile, loud giggles, strong willed and mischievous ways, just like her daddy, made him happy. She was the light of his life.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends hunting and mud riding.
Brent was a daddy, son, brother, grandson, nephew and a friend to so many and will be missed greatly.
Pallbearers will be Michael Booth, Jeremy Swiney, Randy Gray, Justin Hamilton, Michael Ray, Waylon Tillman and Josh Beams.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy Holcomb and Crimson Insulators.

Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your family. Brent was a very special young man as the chapel was brimming over with the love of his family and friends in his honor. Thank you for making our family feel apart of your family. Emma has joined our families for life. She and Payton will be protected and loved with their new Guardian Angel above. Brent did whatever he could to protect them and I will always be thankful for it all. His smile and kindness will be missed but will live on in Emma's sweet face. Payton had a talk with him last night and knows he hears her sweet words. We love you all and are here willing to do whatever to help during these days and into the future. Brent, I have tried to write something simple many times. But , I know you know my heart and I will always and forever love you. You gave me some of the most amazing memories of my life. I have not seen or heard from Brent in many years. I do not know where his life took him or the man that he became. My memories are 12-14 years old. I remember rolling him around in the mud behind his house, looking for a deer he shot behind his Grandmother's house, picking up Heather, Him, Whitney, Justin, and Mahaley for school. Dropping him off at Field's Grocery so he could spend the weekend with his Grandparents. Watching Alabama football at Troy and Clara's house.

I am lost with words I can't believe you're gone Brent . He was a sweet and goofy guy. He would always put a smile on your face no matter what There's one thing I will never forget, him doing a doughnut around the flagpole in a old mans yard up in Northside in his little black car!! He would do anything for any of his friends and family and would give his shirt off his back to help anyone out!! He's going to be greatly missed by everyone !!

Brent will be missed but never forgotten! He was not just a son-n-law to myself and my husband Kerry, he was like a second son!! He was a wonderful father to Emma Watkins and Payton Boothe also the most wonderful husband to my daughter Brittany Boothe Watkins.. I'm sorry for all his family because Brent was an angel and lite up the room when he walked in. We all love you Brent and we love our granddaughters so much Emma Faith and Payton Brooke.
