He was a wonderful man who influenced many in a miraculous way. Although I never met him, I read much about him. He was the type of person I would have liked as my best friend. May God watch over you always, Carl, and may you rest in peace.

The loss of this wonderful, gentle, inspiring man really hurts my heart. Carlton, Ron and families were so blessed to have he and your Mom as parents. I was blessed just to know him as a friend and to help him so many years ago on his mayoral campaign. It was work, but fun. Just know that all the family is in our hearts, minds and prayers.

Dear Carlton and Ronnie: It is with sadness, that I note the passing of your Dad. Your folks were such wonderful and caring people. I am so glad that you were neighbors of Fred and Myrtle Diehm and that they introduced us. Dr. Nelson and I so enjoyed all of you and are thankful for the privilege of knowing you. My heartfelt condolences to you and your families and prayers for comfort.

I will never forget Carl showing me his "Rose Bowl Watch" that he was very proud of having. That was a few years ago. He was such a gentle and kind man. Very great humanitarian! He will be missed. May he RIP.

Ron, Carlton and Gipson family. I am very blessed to have met Carl and worked with all of you. He was such an elegant and charismatic man who raised you, with the help of Jodie, to the men you both have become today. You will always be their legacy and continue to share those values with this community. My prayers for you to find peace and strength during this time. I know it is hard. Deb Williams

To Carlton and the rest of the Gipson family. Yes, one page could not list the bravery, fortitude, leadership and grace of your father. Whenever I spoke with him, his words were always meaningful and thoughtful. He was a dear friend of my father, Bill, and so many others. I know you are very proud of his great legacy. I will not be able to attend his service as I will be out of state. My thoughts are with you and your family. Mike Deller

I'm very sorry to see that Carl has left us - all the best to his family and many friends - I recall when he and Jodie were employed at Scott Paper, a long time ago.

Sue and I are saddened by the loss of your dear father. Carl was with us a long time and used his time on the earth to create and foster good friendships. It is always unsettling to lose a parent, but rest assured he will be there to greet you when it is your time to go Home. Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of this valuable man.
