Carol Petz Obituary
Phoenix - Carol Joi Petz, age 82, of Phoenix passed away form complications of COPD on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Carol was born November 27, 1938.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathi (Robert) Petz-Guildig of Phoenix.
A visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with her funeral service the following day, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM, all at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd, Scottsdale. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenacresmortuary.net for the Petz family.

Carol had a personality and heart that was bigger than life. Growing up with her daughter Kathi, Carol was a big part of my life. We spent many of our Girl Scout meetings learning cooking and sewing projects from Carol. Though there was many setbacks during her life loosing one of her daughters and husband she always had a smile and helping hands for others.
Growing up we had a mall down the street with JC Penny's. Whenever going to shop there with my mom and dad, I would always go hunting to find Carol to say hi, she always had a warm smile and sweet words when I found her. She was always the motherly friend in the store I would hunt out.
Later in life she lost her son Jeff. I cannot imagine all the sadness she lived through and still had strength to pull through cancer. My love for her will always remain in my heart and serve to remind me God lives within each one of us.
Kathi has lived through all of these life changing events and sorrows and has been the person to help her mom and brother get through life. She was the glue making sure things were taken care of. Planning every detail of appointments, and lovely vacations. Kathi was born with such strength and heart that her mother was blessed with. She made sure that life kept going with her own bubbling pot of love that overflowed. She kept all the traditions she grew up with alive and well within the family. Kathi is one of my own personal heros and someone I will always look up to.
This small family is actually bigger than life and will always thank God for allowing me to know them.
