GREENVILLE — Carolyn J. Baird Blankenship, 92, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 6:40 p.m., at the Brethren Retirement Community, in Greenville.
She was born July 31, 1925, in St. Mary's, the daughter of the late James Richard and Mabel (Jobes) Baird. Carolyn was a volunteer. She was a member of the D.A.R.,Haner Historical Society, Miami County Historical Society, Genealogy Society, Studebaker Family National Association and Fort Rowdy Museum.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Forrest L. Blankenship and sisters: Beatrice Campbell, Mary Alice Folkerth and Janice Moggie.
She is survived by her children: Beverly Rush, Leslie Vicedo and Audrey Walther; grandchildren: Mark Rush, Nicole (Rush) Lowder, Rick Vicedo, Susan Vicedo, Michael Vicedo and Tammy Smith-Firestone; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brother Richard Baird and sister Jane Silva.
A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2-4 p.m., at the Brethren Retirement Community. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
