I loved her deeply. She showed me what it was like to be a hard worked, dedicated to her husband and her children. She is (not was) will always be a hero in my eyes. I was greatfull to know her and have a friendship/working relationship with her. She will be missed. Back in the day we were all family. To all David, Duncan, Robbie, Fred and everyone I love you all.... Jen Furbay

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Smith on several occasions at Gerstell Academy where she would frequently visit the school to donate books to its library. Because of her philanthropy, children had access to a myriad of books and publications. Thank you, Mrs. Smith A.G. Nelson

Dear Duncan and Robbie,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your dear mother. I can still recall her hustling you all out the back door of your Park Ave. home to catch a carpool ride to Boys' Latin school with Mrs. Fleming (B.L.'s first grade teacher of many years). Sometimes, she'd chase down the car with a forgotten lunch or article of clothing, scolding you both as only a mother can...those were the days, no? My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of loss.

Dave and Family

I am so sorry for your loss , Your Mother and Grandmother was such a dynamic and compassionate person it is clear where you get many of your traits from. I met your father many years ago and it must have been a fascinating home to grow up in with two such talented and smart parents who contributed so much to the industry, education and helping people in need.

Sincerely
Steve Pruett
