Chad Mills Obituary
ASHLEY - Chad Eric Mills, 49, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at his home in Ashley, Indiana.
He was born on April 17, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Arthur Andrew Mills and Paula G. Sprunger, whom survives.
He earned his associate degree in computer programming from Ivy Tech.
Chad was the computer programmer for Holmes and Company Sawmill in Columbia City for 25 years. The Sawmill was Chad's home away from home.
In 2022, Chad moved to Ashley, Indiana, neighboring his mother. Caring for his mother was his happiness everyday 'til the very last.
Chad ended his career working for S N S Property Management, creating digital marketing ads, something he enjoyed and was proud to show off.
Chad is survived by his children, Auston Mills and Kristina Mills; mother, Paula G. Sprunger; sisters, Kassondra Lopez, of Fort Wayne, Dawn Mills, of Auburn and Missy Mills, of Kentucky; brother, Joshua Holt, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; eight nieces; and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Andrew Mills; Grandpa and Grandma Delbert; and Vaughnette Koenemann.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation one hour prior.
Visitation will also be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at the funeral home.
Committal and burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family or the grandchildren's education fund, in care of Autson Mills.
