CHARLES BADE Obituary

BADE CHARLES ARDEN age 85 of Royal Oak, died January 21, 2010. He was a 1942 graduate of Rochester High School and a graduate of the University of Michigan. He was an Army veteran of World War II, during which time he attended Baylor University. He was retired from Barton Malow but for many years worked for Bob-lo which was owned by the Browning Steamship Co. He was an avid bridge player and was a Life Master. He is survived by his wife, Peggy L. (Witsoe) Bade, whom he married January 11, 1946. Father of Charles (Carol) Bade of Indianopolis, IN, Richard (Sue) Bade of Pinckney, Beth (Chet) Campbell of Harrison Twp., and Wendy (Tony) Wallace of Royal Oak. Also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and his brother, Ronald (Sue) Bade. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 814 N. Campbell in Royal Oak, the Rev. Thomas A. Scherger, officiating. Inurnment will take place in White Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-9 p.m. at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
