Charles A. Rapp, Jr., 71, husband of Susan A. (Torgeson) Rapp, Greentown, Pike Co., died Friday, January 5, 2018, in Einstein Medical Center – Elkins Park.
Mr. Rapp was born on January 22, 1946, in Norristown, to the late Charles A., Sr. and Doris M. (Schantz) Rapp. He was a Collegeville – Trappe High School graduate and veteran of the US Navy.
Before retiring, Mr. Rapp was a civilian engineering technician for the US Navy at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, and the Warminster Naval Air Development Center. He previously worked for C&D Battery, Blue Bell.
In addition to his beloved wife Susan, Charles Rapp is survived by his sons, James and his wife Denise, Kenneth, and his companion, Kathi; his step-children, Corey Leadbeater, and his companion Lisa, Andrew Leadbeater, and his wife Oksana, Beth Prajzner and her husband John, and Amy Emerson and her husband, Donald; his siblings, brother Richard Rapp, and sister Doris Hoch and husband Francis; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Shaw.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel, Limerick Garden Of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick Twp., with the Rev. Thomas T. Kochenderfer, Jr., retired Lutheran pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Wednesday, in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veterans charity of choice. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
