One year. I cant believe it has been one year since you went home. I miss you each and every day. But I see you everytime I look into Shane's eyes. The blue looking back at me reminds me so much of you. I promise he will grow up knowing who you are and how much you wanted him here. I love you mom. x7

3 months. Wow. It certainly does not seem like that amount of time has passed.
For some reason the last few days have been harder than most. There is a lot going on right now and it just hurts that I can’t pick up the phone or stop by and talk to you about things; I am so in need of the sage motherly advice from you at the moment. Just to hear your laugh or the patented “I love you” would mean so much....
The other day, I felt a breeze and felt a peace following it. I know it was you…please continue to give me strength.

I'll never forget the first time I met you, it was like I was already part of your family. I know how much you absolutely loved all of us and looked after us as only Mama Keyser could. Your presence could not be missed and neither will your absence. Keep the light on for us, we'll see you on the other side.

Mom, it is hard to believe that a little over a month has passed since you left us. It seems like yesterday I was little and we were jumping in the car to run to garage sales on the weekend. “Time heals all wounds”? Really? When does that start? But on the flip side, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Funny how that happens.
I miss you each and every day, all the laughing, joking around, the phone calls, ect. I know you are in a better place without hurt and pain but the selfish side of me would give anything to have the phone ring and you be on the other end.
I miss you and I love you. I know you will pop in from time to time and make sure I am staying out of trouble. :-)
Till we meet again. xxxxxxx

Mama, I miss you daily. I miss my 7 kisses when I would come in to see you and my 7 kisses When I had to leave . I miss the way you made me feel priceless and worth everything in the world. I miss the times we shared and how You, Brian, and I could talk about one topic for an hour until our ribs hurt from laughing. Even though I miss you I know this was just a stopping place for you and your journey is continuing. I know I will see you again with open arms and I also know that your here with us in spirit. I love you.

We're gonna miss ya Mama Keyser. Rest peacefully now, and be assured we'll all watch over Brian as you are watching over all of your extended family right now.

I remember the first time I met Momma, right away she welcomed me in as one of her own and made me feel welcomed as a family would. She was the true spirit of a family’s Momma. For that I can never be grateful enough. My fondest memories are of Momma at our Squad BBQs where she and Bill would sit around telling stories back to back. Some explaining would however be needed for Momma’s sake, but her expressions were always priceless!
At times it seems unfair for us to loose someone we love so dearly, but Heaven does need their angels and I know that Momma truly exemplified the image of heavens angels. Momma is home now; catching up with old friends and with open arms for those to come down the road. I would not say this is good bye, but till we meet again.
Love you always Momma K.

Momma's first word to me when we met her 3 years ago, were, "Is that your little boy?" She was referring to my now 4 year old son who was still knee-high to a grasshopper. When I told her he was, she said, "Can I have him?" I will always remember that from that moment, we felt like we had known her forever and she us. She was an amazing woman, fighter, lover and spirit. She was always so grateful for each and every person that she had been blessed with in her life. She will be missed because it's hard to find people like her these days.
Brian, I know this is a hard time for you and our prayers are with you each and every day. But know that you are as loved as your mom and we are all here for you whenever and wherever you need us.
Rest in glorious peace, Momma! I know that you still shine your love on each and every one of us. Thank you for being a part of our life and thank you for being our shining light in heaven. We love you!

We loved Momma like she was our own Momma! She welcomed us into her heart unconditionally! Her physical presence will be greatly missed, however, we know that she is with us spiritually! Take comfort, Brian, that your Mom is not in pain any longer and that she has been welcomed by her family who have passed before her. She is smiling down upon each and everyone of us, and she will be there for you when you need comfort, all you have to do is talk to her! She will hear you! Love you and we are hear for you, Brian! We love you Momma, and you will be in our hearts forever!!!

"When I am gone, don't say I lost the battle, simply say, my journey has ended"----(Cheryl Alexander). These words will forever remain with me. What great strength to accept God"s will and live every moment He gave you!!! You were an amazing woman who left an imprint on my heart. Thanks Brian, for sharing a little piece of her life with me! My prayer is that you find peace and comfort in keeping all the wonderful memories you both created forever alive in your heart. Cheryl, you may have reached the end of your journey here, but the best is yet to come. We will "catch up" when we meet again.

Dear Brian---I will never forget nor will Eileen the compassion your Mom showed us when we were there in 2005. I will miss speaking to my "Southern Sister" & I hope you will stay in contact with Mike & I for years to come. Love you------"Aunt Lee" from New York.

My deepest sympathies to you Brian...you were an amazing son to Cheryl and she was so lucky to have you by her side through this journey. I love the picture as it brought back many, many memories. She looks so beautiful..Cheryl and I were like sisters, we got married within days of each other, had our firstborn the same year and we both loved Rock n' Roll music and now one of her dreams has been fulfilled, she is with Elvis! Cheryl's faith never waivered right up to the end. I was always amazed at her concern and prayers for my sister who is also suffering from this horrible disease.
Til I see you again red, behave up there..Love, DeeDee

I knew Mama pretty well, and because of that short time, I feel honored. She never let you see what the cancer was doing to her, and was always there with a joke or "Say hello to my bunny".
Thank you for allowing me to be part of life. We'll see you soon

Momma, what does someone say when they feel like a hole has been ripped into ones chest? Your loss has been a palpable hurt. I know deep within my heart that you are still here with us and although you are on another plane of existence, your love still shines down on us. Please, guide me through these next few days and weeks as I cope with the rawness I feel from you being taken away. Take my hand and share your strength with me as I walk this path. Help me to realize, that for as long as I am able to call your name, you will always be with me. I'll miss those late night calls, your voice and the love behind it when you bestowed upon me the title of daughter of your heart. Know that I will do my best to do as you asked and live every moment as if it were a precious gift. Save a place for me as I hold down the fort here, until that day when I can once again put my arms around you to tangibly to show that you're forever loved.
