As a fellow musician (and drummer) attending Dunwoody High School, Chris was an inspiration. Easily the best drummer in HS; he was the measuring stick for local drummers. I still remember watching Cold 6 at the Battle of the Bands and being in awe of Chris's talent.
Though we did not see each other often over the years, it was all smiles when we did. In my early 20s, Chris joined my band "Farmer John" on stage at the Somber Reptile to cover "Rocking in the Free World" -- a great moment in my early days of playing. In our 30s we continued to cross paths here and there pursuing various musical endeavors...Chris's enthusiasm and unapologetic love for music was inspiring.
All of my memories of Chris are fond and it saddens me that there will be no more. RIP, Chris. My best to the Fontaine family.
