Christopher Scully Obituary

Christopher John Scully, 44, lifelong resident of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 14, 2018.

Chris was born May 10, 1974, and he was a graduate of East Hartford High Class of 1992. Chris was an exceptional mason and carpenter for over 20 years. He was extremely meticulous and took tremendous pride in his work. Chris was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas with his cousins, JJ and Shaun and brother-in-law, Mike. He was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed and continuously volunteered for Riverfest and the Podunk Bluegrass Festival, events held in East Hartford.

Chris was a gentle soul, strong in character and impossibly shy, yet he was man enough to dance and sing to "Barbie Girl" with his niece, Makayla. He was adored by all that knew and loved him.

Chris will be dearly missed by his family: mother, Charlene Sullivan and her husband, Tim McLaughlin; father, Charles Scully and his wife, Marianne; John Uldrikis; sisters, Lisa Roman and her husband, Michael, Kim Kirkpatrick and her wife, Meredith, and Lisa Iris and her husband, Peter; godparents, Sharon and Helmut Uldrikis; nieces, Makayla, Olivia, Jocelyn, and Natalie; nephew, Matthew; and great-nephew, Thomas. Chris was loved by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford.

There will be a funeral service at North United Methodist Church, 300 Parker St., Manchester, on Monday, Oct. 29, at 10:30 a.m.

Dear Charlene, Tim, Lisa, Mike, & the entire Scully & Uldrikis Family,
I am hurting over the passing of Chris. I am so sorry for your immense loss. My heart aches for you. Christopher was special to me since the moment he was born. I had many fun times babysitting for he & Lisa when they were babies & young children. One memory that stands out was when Mark & I played UNO with him over & over & over one afternoon. (He liked playing cards way back then!) Another memory is when I dressed him up like Elvis (which I have a picture of!) These & other countless memories I will hold dear to me, always. I pray that in the days, weeks, & months ahead you will find God's peace, & also, will realize that Chris will always be with you, just in a different way. May God Bless You All.
I love you,
Candace
