Memories and Condolences
for CORNELIA MEDINA

Not sure what to say?

February 8, 2015

My sympathies to George and the entire Medina Family. Corrie was truly a behind the scenes worker. I met Corrie when I started volunteering for the after school ministry. I was there with Corrie for six years before she got sick and was unable to continue. I remember how the children loved the chocolate chip cookies she would bake for them on special occasions. I know Corrie is in the presence of God at this moment. She was one of His dear saints. A sunset in one Land is a sunrise in another. Grace Flowers (Compton, CA)

My memories of Aunt Corrie is of her having a big heart and sweet smile. Celebrating her life the past few days has made me realize how she truly lived by the theme 'actions speak louder than words". She lived a true and humble life. I see her & my Uncle Georges influence in Todd & Jason and how they live their life and that is a wonderful testament to her life. I celebrate her life and I will miss her.

Our symphathies and prayers go out to George and the rest of the family. I'm so sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service. I have no doubt that it was a beautiful tribute to a special lady.

In earlier years I was a helper in the kindergarten class Corrie taught. She was such a pleasure to work with. The children loved her and were very special to her. Her teaching Sunday School for 50 years is a great tribute to her. She touched so many lives.

Corrie always welcomed us "Emmanuel kids" into her house, even when we were teenagers and just needed a place to hang out. Her smile and warmth are fondly remembered. Photo: The Emmanuel Gang. Christ connects friends, even as the years go by...

Corrie always had a sweet smile. She will sorely be missed. God blessed her with a wonderful husband, children and daughter in laws and grandchildren.
She is now with her heavenly Father and free from suffering. God be with you during your loss.

My Aunt Corrie was a caring concerned aunt to me and my family. She was the first to help and visit if someone was sick or in the hospital. She always showed concern for my daughters and family. She was core to keeping the Zuidervaart family in touch with each other. She showed Jesus love to us all with her loving way. I will remember her for that and will miss her.

Corrie's death. It's tough.

February 5, 2015

Corrie was one of my very first friends, along with the whole family. I have known her nealy all of my life. We played dolls together as little girls. And I loved riding the families small bicycle. I am saddened to hear of her passing. My condolances go out to George and their family as well as to Corries large extended family. May God give you peace and love. Leslie VanLeeuwen/ Mockridge

Corrie was so very special, and I greatly admired her. She always went out of her way to show care and concern, and had a genuine interest in everyone. Corrie had a sweet and humble spirit. She set such a wonderful example in everything she did, and that example shines through in the two incredible sons that she and George raised. Here's to a life well-lived, a soul well-loved, and a rest well-earned.

Sending my love and sympathy to the whole family.....Todd Trevett
