Danuta Sheaffer Obituary
Danuta S. Sheaffer (Koryatowicz - Sokolska) Born in Warsaw Poland on August 1, 1922. Daughter of Henryka Kramer - Dykert and Waclaw Koryatowicz-Sokolski. Mom was WWII survivor and member of the Underground Army AK. She participated in the Warsaw Uprising. Mom moved to USA in 1972, lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and she worked until her retirement at Pomeroy's Department Store. Mom moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2007 for health reasons and to be closer to her daughter Anna. Her last 6 years she spent having great care provided by the Team at Bethesda Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. Mom left us the evening of October 4, 2016. Living in deep sorrow, her daughter Anna Krzywiec and her partner in life, John Kegel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00PM on October 7, 2016 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85027. We met this vivacious and attractive woman in Harrisburg in the early 70s when my husband and I were visiting in the area. We kept in touch through the years, usually at Easter. Danuta would send a card or call. I didn't hear from her this year. Sadly, now I know why.
