Ronnie Wayne Murphy, Sr.

Ronnie Wayne Murphy, Sr., age 77, loving husband of Rosemary Merrell Murphy, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Joesph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on March 3, 1948, to the late Arthur Murphy and Mamie Clouse Murphy. Ronnie was an automobile mechanic for the Nicholasville City Government. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, two daughters, Tammy Renna Sinnott, and Rosemary Lynn Foster and her husband, Billy, and a sister, Edna Guy, grandchildren, Austin Murphy, Dallas Murphy, Felicia Dillingham and her husband, Dallas, Travis Sinnott, Cody Foster, Joely Jacobs, and her husband, Corey, Abigal Foster, Evelyn Foster and Samantha Baker, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Murphy, Jr., two sisters, Alla B. Smith and Anna Baker, and a granddaughter, Lily Ann Foster. Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, October 3, 2025, with Pastor Buddy Puckett officiating at Betts & West Funeral Home, the burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Austin Murphy, Dallas Murphy, Travis Sinnott, Cody Foster, Corey Jacobs, and Dallas Dillingham. The visitation will be on Friday morning beginning at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
