My deepest sympathies to all of Darren's family. I was so sad to hear that he lost his battle with Cancer. I didn't see Darren much accept for LD Bell functions, but I've known him since 7th grade. One thing that can always be said about him is what a kind, funny, nonjudgmental person he was. I'm honored to have known him and will miss seeing him.

Susan, Brett and I are so very sorry for your loss. I have known Darren for 37 years and Brett has been friends with Darren for 44 years. He introduced Brett and I 34 years ago and we are still married, you might say he was a great match maker. We loved Darren and he will always be in our hearts.

To the entire Baucom family~ I'm so very sad to hear that Darren lost his battle. He was such a sweet man. A good man. They don't make them like that anymore. I remember growing up around all of you & Darren. Such sweet memories. You never forget the neighborhood kids you grow up with. He was such a sweetheart when my Daddy was battling cancer. Him & Mack would always come by for a visit to cheer Dad up. I remember Daddy saying he would Umpire softball games with the Broncos team. He'd see Darren & call him Bubba, lol. That's an old, old nickname. He'd get tickled because Darren would always tell him to stop calling him that. But Daddy always did anyway just to give him a hard time. I hate that we have to lose the ones we love to illness. It's not fair to take such beautiful people out of the world. My prayers are with each & everyone of you. He's with Daddy & Mack now & that makes me smile. Love to you all, Lisa Maynard VanMeter

I have many memories of Darren that I wont ever forget. He was much more than my cousin. He was like a brother and my best childhood friend by far. There was nothing I looked forward to more than spending time with him.It didnt matter where we were or what we were doing,if I was with him I was happy. We had lots of fun together at Six Flags, playing football, baseball, bike riding, ect. Darren was a very successful person and had many friends and a loving family that cared for him very much. Rest in peace Darren, you will never be forgotten.
