Mr. Darryl Stanley of 11218 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, Va., departed this life Friday, February 19, 2016, at his residence. He is the son of Mrs. Christine Easter. He was preceded in death by his father, the late George W. Stanley. He was a faithful member of the Center Star Baptist Church, DeWitt, where he served as Church Sexton. He was a member of the usher board and on the men of praise team as well as a member on the board of trustees. He was also an employee with Wyche's Landscape, Dinwiddie, Va.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted mother; siblings, Carolyn Young of Petersburg, Sherry Pegram (Kirk) of Dinwiddie, Douglas Stanley (Kimberly) of Petersburg, Terry Stanley of Dinwiddie, Garry Stanley (Rica) of Charlotte, N.C., Daniel Stanley of Dinwiddie, Steven Stanley (Kimberley) of Byron, Ga., and Jonathan Easter of Dinwiddie; two cherish uncles, Eugene Holliman of Miami Fla., and Bill Holliman of Dublin, Ga.; one aunt, Laura Stanley of Allentown, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, special friends to include Thomas Matthews, Kirk Pegram and Stacy Lassiter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Center Star Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, with the pastor, Rev. Dr. Jimmie L. Walker, Sr., eulogizing, and the Rev. Carrie Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the McKenney Chapel from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
