David COSTINE Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - David Costine passed away unexpectedly May 9, 2010.
David was born Nov. 13, 1963, in Oakland Naval Hospital to Darlene and Eugene Costine Jr. David enjoyed many activities including keeping a salt water tank, raising exotic animals, cooking, coaching Heather's softball team and spending time with his daughters who were his pride and joy. David will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He has many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Dave. He always knew how to make a child laugh.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Costine.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth with their two daughters, Heather and Holly; daughter, Michelle Costine; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Kayla; his father, Eugene Costine Jr.; sister, Dianna Goodsell; sister, Denise Hernandez; brother, Eugene Costine Ill; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel.
Interment will be at Peninsula Memorial Gardens on Friday May 14, 2010, at 10 a.m.

I never got to meet David in person, but felt like I have known him for along time. My son Todd and him became very close through his daughter Heather. I heard nothing but good words about David. He will be greatly missed. Heather and Holly and the rest of the family may God hold you tight in his loving arms during this time of lost. My prayers are with each and everyone of you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Davids passing. We were neighbors for several years and his family and my family became very close. I hadn't seen him in the last several years but thought of them often. We had some really great times together. My prayers are with Beth, his girls, and his entire family. David you will be missed but never forgotten!!
