David's parents were missionaries in Romania (mostly in Bessarabia and Bukovina) for about 20yrs, between WWI and WWII. Unfortunately very little is known about that nowaday. I'm a Romanian Christian man working to write a book about that time right now. I hope someone from David's family can contact me by email on this address:

David was a faithful participant in Amnesty OKC, showing his commitment to human rights on a global level. He was a humble person, but made his love for his fellow human travelers well known through his actions. We will miss him at the meetings and actions. Condolences to his family and other friends, who have lost a wonderful man from their lives.

I first met David more than 35 years ago when he was a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Later, we belonged to a small Christian house group with monthly meetings. We shared a lot of common interests. I was always happy to see David and Betty in attendance at functions sponsored by our local chapters of the United Nations Association and Amnesty International.
I always looked up to David. He was friendly and wise, always a gentleman.

I lived over the fence from David's mother and father. Being a retired officer on the
Midwest City Police dept. I was friends with
his parents as well as David. David was a very kind and caring person knowing him was
a real honor. David had very interesting stories of his time in the foreign missionary days his spent. This world needs
more people like David.
