Opening this email today and seeing the picture of David brought back a flood of memories. It was like looking at his dad, Albert. I didn't realize how much David had grown to look like his father. To me, David will always look like he does in the sweet picture with Tam. David and his dad were wonderful men and my hope is that David's family is doing well and healing after their loss.

Our family extends our deepest sympathy to you during this very sad time.
Meeting this amazing man just once showed us how deep he loved his family, how much he valued knowing ancestors, and how he loved nature.

May God continue to pour His love upon your family and help you to live life the best you can knowing he is above and watching over each of you, and smiling down with love.

He will be missed by all who knew this wonderful man.

Our deepest condolences --

My heart and prayers go out to David's family. David and I started our Masonic journey together when we were both initiated into Sugar Land Masonic Lodge on the same day. It was a pleasure working alongside him as we traveled on our Masonic paths. David, my Brother, you will be missed.

I was very surprised and saddened to read about David's passing. Albert and my husband were best friends through the sixties and until Albert died. We lived next to them while they were in Houston and spent many weekends in Columbus and New Ulm when David was a young man. He was so handsome and had the sweetest personality, always kind and patient even when things weren't going well. My thoughts are with his precious family.

David became linked to our family through genealogy and "by chance". He appeared at a Hahn family reunion in 2004 with huge genealogy charts in tow. He showed how he was related to us through a common ancestor and even though that ancestor went back several generations, he became as much a part of our family as he was his own. We loved his genuine courtesy and connection to all things family and genealogy. I feel blessed that he found us and will forever miss him. My deepest sympathy to his family. He was a great man.

David was a life long friend. We grew up together. We went to the same church. David and I sang in a group called the Davlins. We named it that because there were two Linda's and two David's. There are so many beautiful memories. When I lost my husband 5 years ago, David was one of the first to be by my side.

My prayers go to his family that he loved with all his heart and strength. God Bless you all.

Ms. Hahn and family. Richard and I offer on condolences on the passing of Mr. Hahn. Want a kind man he was and I remember so clearly the 2012 Thanksgiving after my father died at age 69 when he sat down and asked how my mom was doing. I thought that was so kind of him to take the time to check on her. Dennis W. Raney & Richard W. Waits
