Bonnie,
Ni faltaba más...You need a word from David's Tita, as you know your children all called me. David along with Ben and Cristina was just like one more of my own children. And you know that this is going to be a long grieving for both of us, but we are in it together.
I can't get over such wonderful tributes as have been posted here. They are so beautiful; it isn't an exaggeration to call this site "legacy." As I wrote to one of the wonderful people who signed this online book, I would say there is a David-size hole in my heart, but he wasn't very big at the end due to his great determination to get slim and fit. God rest our David.

Bonnie, you and Hazel and Ben were like a second family to my beloved son, Kevin, and he admired David so much. Everyone handles grief in their own way, but I know how you feel. Had I not have had Kevin, I do not know what I would have done when Bryan died and Adam was diagnosed with ALS. You have always been a great person and our family sends our most sincere condolences to you all. I wish very much that you would call me when you can so that we may speak of happy times. We are so lucky to have had these beautiful children. God bless you all and give you peace. Bill and Dana Walker 436-0645

Bonnie, I remember when your son returned home from the military. They cut off all his curls! Your reaction was unforgettable. I miss you and I miss Ben, and I will never forget David. I have always been envious of David's ability to be such a free, strong individual. You did a fantastic job of raising good sons.

My sincere condolences once again. I had not seen a picture or David since Command Perforance what a handsome man he became. It was nice to read all the kind words that everyone shared about him. May God give you comfort and peace during this time.

David was one of my very best childhood friends. I first met David when he transferred to Starr Elementary School in the fifth grade. We also attended Tenaya Middle School and Bullard High School together. We lost touch shortly after graduating from high school. I heard rumors that he was living in Southern California and I tried contacting him a few times without any luck.
Even though I have not spoken to David in probably over 25 years, I often thought about what his friendship meant to me. He helped me through one of the toughest times in my life and I am forever grateful for his unconditional support.
I have so many fond memories watching movies with David and getting into mischief. When the original Star Wars movie first came out, I remember David trying to break the record for seeing it the most times. He actually ended up memorizing the whole script and could recite every line in the movie, which he did at my birthday party when we went to see the movie. We got into trouble in school together a few times and even got suspended once, but it never really was anything too bad.
My thoughts and prayers go out to David's family.

My sincerest condolences to the Leon family.
I had the pleasure of knowing David from my 5 years of working at Informa Research Services. He and I shared our passions for sports, movies, and also music. We were both fans of hard rock music. He helped introduce me to the 21st century with using iTunes, iPods, and external hard drives for computers. David also attended my BBQ birthday parties. He was the life of those parties, always lending a helping hand with cooking on the grill. I enjoyed the conversations we had at work and will miss the opportunity of having more of them.

My deepest condolences to the Leon family.
I went to Jackson Elementary with David up until he left in the fifth grade and he was one of my best childhood friends and always made us laugh within our circle. An anecdote that I will never forget is when in the fifth grade, the tv show, "Six Million Dollar Man" was cancelled. David wrote a fan letter to the network, asking to put the show back on the air and when the network replied, Mr. Keesling, our teacher read it aloud to the whole class. I know David was quite proud that day.
Sadly, I lost touch with him once he moved away and I never saw him again.
His impressive accomplishments that are stated in his obituary don't surprise me in the least for he was one of the smartest kids that I knew and he was always destined for success. I'm glad to have known him and I am saddened now that he is gone.
With much love & respect to the whole Leon family,
Theodore A. Sofianides

David was a well-versed individual, whether it be technology, movies, food or sports. We always seemed to never have enough time to finish our conversations. I consider myself lucky to have known and worked with him for so many years. I will always remember his laugh. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.

I worked with David a few years ago at Informa Research. He was such a good guy - he left a very heartfelt and compassionate post on Facebook when I posted that my mother had passed away a few months back - that meant a lot to me. I will really miss his brilliant sense of humor, his passion for football, movies and his contagious laughter. I am so sorry for your loss. Dave will be missed.

Let it be known that to all that knew Dave and ever had had a football surprisingly darted toward them in the Leon living room, or given sage no-nonsense advice & insights on everything from love to technology, or just enjoyed that very rare dose of humor that gave you that deep, hearty, gut shaking "man its good to be alive" feeling...his presence on this earth will be deeply missed. I am only comforted by the fact that as epic and huge his passing is, it can not come close to comparing to the monumental spirit and memories he created for all who knew him. My dearest love and strength goes out to the Leon and Ginnini families, I have much to be grateful for in my life for knowing all of you.- Max

I had the pleasure of working with David for the last 5 years and he was a great guy. He kept us entertained with many football, movie reviews and essays. David was always brining in the samples of food he loved to cook at home and explaining in great detail the how and why of what he did. Brilliant. I loved his astrology picks, matching people according to their birthdays and the explanations were pure David. Always funny and a joy to listen to.
He will be greatly missed.
