Devon Williams Obituary
Devon Alexis Williams left this mortal world on September 25, 2016 in College Station, Texas at the age of 16 years old. Born December 21, 1999 in Bryan, Texas, she was a Junior student at College Station High School and, previous to that, attended High School at John H. Guyer High in Denton, Texas.
Devon had an intense love for her family, her animals, her friends and her art. She found joy in working with horses, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and sculpting. She was an accomplished and blossoming artist, winning high school awards with several sculptures,one of which was placed on display in a Denton art gallery. Devon's enduring love for horses was exhibited in her personal horse training and riding and the true joy she found attending and volunteering at GRIT Therapeutic Horsemanship in Flower Mound, Texas.
Devon's indomitable spirit reflected in her sense of humor, her contagious laugh and her smile. Through her years she brought her family together through love and prayer. The light she brought to this world dimmed with her passing but will continue to serve as a beacon of love, inspiration and devotion to family for all who knew her.
Devon is survived by her grandmother, Jackie Layman; her mother, Barbara Williams; her father, Charles Williams; Step-mother, Melissa Williams; Siblings, Halle Ledet, Andrew Williams, Blythe Williams, Charles Williams and Chae Ledet; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her pets Spyro, Milo and preceded by her horse, Beau. Services will be held this Saturday, October 1st at Cole Funeral Home 1113 West 5th Street, McGregor, Texas at 12:00pm. Graveside service at Post Oak Cemetery, Oglesby, Texas to immediately follow.

Such a bubbly girl with such a kind smile. The sass in her voice contrasted the bounce in her giggle. We were closest when we went to Rock Prairie together. I wish there was recess in high school so that we could have spent more time in each other's presence. The days are long past when we would chase each other around the playground and dig holes with sticks. I am sorry, and I love you. Rest well.

When I found out about your passing I was shocked and broken, I didn't understand how a person so full of life could leave this world. Freshman year you were the person that could make the shy people feel comfortable, I was just starting out and didn't know what to do in such a big school but you were one of the first people to befriend me in class. You were too precious and beautiful to leave and you will be greatly missed.

RIP sweet girl.
I miss you so much and I don't think that will ever stop, even when time has come the pain will linger. but if that means never forgetting your laugh that never failed to make me join in, your smile that lit up the room, and your personality that will never be able to be replicated; I will take the pain gladly.
To the Williams family you will continue to be in my prayers for years to come because the loss of family member isn't something that just goes away. God is with you and won't forget you.

We met in the 8th grade at Harpool and from then on we were good friends. You were so supportive and your laugh was so infectious! You made school fun, which none of us thought was possible. You always had my back and for that I am forever grateful. I miss your jokes, your art, your smile, and your friendship. I love you girly. You will forever be in my heart.
