It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Kathlene M. Booker, who departed to her eternal reward on September 14, 2025 at the age of 82. She lived life to the fullest. Born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 4, 1943 to the late Teuretha and Raymond O’Ray. Kathlene was a woman of great faith, known for being an ordained apostolic evangelist; she shared the gospel with everyone she encountered right up to her departure. She started her family in Alabama, some years later she relocated the family to California. Her desire to help the sick and injured lead her to complete nursing school where she received her certification as a Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) which she maintained until her passing. She pursued her nursing career in Los Angeles California, in tandem she traveled the country as an evangelist. Kathlene was an attentive wife (to Lawrence Booker), mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had the phenomenal ability to make everyone feel supported and appreciated. She will be wholeheartedly missed by her children Hardy, Matthew, Theresa, Janice and Roderick, her fifteen grand children and ten great grand children, nieces, nephews who loved her profoundly. The commemoration observance of her remarkable life will be held on October 11, 2025 at 11:00. Her last clear words were praising Jesus! She lived her life to the fullest acknowledging Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior directed her steps in life and now in death.
