I am saddened to learn of Don's passing. He and I have been friends for almost 90 years...Our parents were good friends and I actually was present at his first birthday party. We were good buddies all the way through our school years, and stayed in touch after I left Davenport. I spoke with him by phone in early March, and again on his 90th birthday, the 12th. Although he was hospitalized, he was in good spirits, and we planned to get together again in Davenport this summer.
I want to express my condolences to Joanne and their family. Don will be missed.
