Dona de Cento Lore 'Nana', age 80, of Garden Ridge, went home to the Lord on Monday August 23, 2021, in San Antonio
Born April 18, 1941, in Milford, Delaware to parents, Donald Masten, and Mildred Virginia Paden; Nana made her way south to Texas in 1972.
A devoted mother to David, Randy, Shawn, Danny, William, and Cody; grandmother to Amy Jo, Austin, Caleb, Casey, Christopher, Joshua, Kara, Kimberly, and Shaun; great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Nana took any opportunity to spend time with her family; all of whom will miss her dearly.
Nana was a faithful Christian, spending countless hours studying scripture with her sister Cheyrl, and spreading the word of God (her favorite was Psalm 91). A passion for the water, Nana was also a distinguished servant of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary retiring as Flotilla Commander after an impressive 27 years.
Nana's service will be held at Colonial Funeral Home (625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, TX 78148) on September 1, 2021; visitation will be from 10am-12pm; service from 12pm-1pm; reception (onsite) 1pm-2pm. In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to Nana's beloved Simmons Community Church (791 FM 1042, Three Rivers, TX 78071).
