Doug and I go back to the LIFE OF VIRGINIA insurance days and Westhampton Baptist . He always drove the big black impeccably clean Lincoln. We paled around together for a few years and then he set sail in his own business. We have stayed in touch with the family over 30 years assisting him with all his business insurance needs. It is a fantastic feeling to have family involved in your business as Doug and I do. My sons really consider it a privilege interacting with Wayne, Eddie and Dawn. I will miss the rides out to look at distressed property with Doug and then later to see how he has transformed them into jewels. Doug does quality work but most of all he was about caring for others and his lovely wife and family. Our prayers go out to them as they adjust to Doug's passing. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving.

Audrey and family, it pains my heart to hear of Doug's passing. He was loved by all, but mostly the Sivertson family thought the world of him and so did myself and Walt. He will never be forgotten. My love to all, Gracie

I am sorry for your loss. I believe God and His words. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." AND "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!" There's no better place.
I'll pray for your strength during this very sad and difficult time.

I don't believe there has ever been another man quite like Mr. Doug Morrison. I enjoyed every conversation I ever had with him during the more than 30 years I have known him. I didn't see him often, but he always made me smile or laugh every single time. It's hard to imagine the Morrison family without him.
with fond memories,

Dawn, I know how much you loved your daddy, and after reading his obituary, it is easy to see why. He accomplished much and influenced many. What a blessing to have been raised by such a godly man. I remember you sent me this when my dad died, and it gave me so much comfort: "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15. Please give my love to Micah and Morgan as well and know I am thinking of you all.

We knew him, not well, but do know he was a wonderful husband and father and loved the Lord. We were once neighbors of his daughter Dawn and I know she will grieve his absence because of her love for him. God bless the entire family and may the Lord be precious during these very difficult days ahead. We love you.

Well, where to start ~
First let me say how sad I was to learn of Doug's death; bittersweet, as he visits the home that has been prepared in Glory for him.
As I remember, Doug Morrison, was the first guy I can remember looking up to, that wasn't an adult. He was my next door neighbor. I have not seen Doug or Audrey in well over 30 years(except for maybe a funeral or 2), but I bet I could pick up right where we left off, rembering days gone by. Audrey, I'm saddened for the kids, I'm saddened for you, and Mozell, both you and George did good; you raised a good man. Doug and Audrey loved my parents, and never forgot where they lived, visiting their old home many times after they moved. And Liberty Baptist Church ~ they have lost one of their soldiers, and heaven has gained one of its own.
I do not know any of the kids, or grandkids, but I want to say to them; that after at least 25 years of not seeing Doug I still admire and respect him. I am smiling as I type this remembering all the foolishness we experienced. The lessons Doug ( enter what you called him) taught me by experience, remain with me today, and I'm 63 years old. I would hope and pray the lessons he lived, are burned into your hearts; Jesus showed thru him ! When I was a young married, Kathy and I could visit with Doug and Audrey, we could see a pattern of married folks, and after 40 years with my wife, I could attribute a small portion of that, to his(their) influence.
I still have a problem with him; he never thought Kathy (my wife)was very smart, and told her that a time or 2. He kept saying somthing about her marrying me :) ............. Audrey, know that I love you and Mozell, and will pray for your families.
"For I recon that the sufferings of this world, will not compare to the Glory that shall be revealed in us".
Romans 8:18
May the peace that passes all understanding, be with you now, and forever... AMEN...cam

Doug and I had a very understanding relationship because of the Lord we served. I told him one time that I needed to have him sign contracts with me because of DPORS and he said your handshake and your word is all I need. That was Doug a man of integrity. I will miss him. Have been praying for your family and will continue.
