Not sure what to say?

I am sorry that my colleague from Mount Sinai died. He was a dedicated microbiologist who helped me out with articles for my (defunct) journal., We had lots of discussion together! - Alex von Graevenitz, Microbiologist, U. of Zurich,Switzerland.

I met Dr. Bottone because he spoke to Irvington High School students each year about microbiology. His love of science was infectious (pun intentional) and influenced my career. We lost a great and generous man. My deepest condolences to the Bottone family.

In 1974 I met Ed for the first time, and along with the direction of Marcel Sierra determined my life´s pursuit. Thanks Ed for caring enough to smack me in the back of the head, while drawing me into the wonderful world of microbiology.

It was a real pleasure to have known Eddie. He had an amazing (and inspiring) career as a microbiologist and was a highly valued mentor to me during my college years. I am very sorry to learn of his passing. Jim Allen (son of Lillian and James)

Just found out about Eddie's death today. So sorry to hear that news. Our sincerest sympathies to Idamarie and the family. Cousin Lillian
