It was my honor to have known Ed for some 20 years. He was a fine man & I will miss his presence at the Dog Show functions. Often I would talk with him about various topics. I always left with a smile on my face. Not everyone has that ability. That is a special gift. I will miss him and his warm smile. My best to the family. Joseph Dunford

My deepest sympathy to the Rudzinski family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ed was a very special friend and great mentor. He was the EXPERT and true Professional to all in the Ammunition Community. He never gave me the wrong advice or guidance with his incredible knowledge of training ammunition. Ed and I talked on 26-Sept-11 and he made me laugh at something he had said. Thank You for your selfless service you gave to the Army Aviation School. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him and had asked for his help in the Ammunition field. ED, you departed us ALL too soon! Please rest in Peace!!

I believe that anyone who ever met Ed would agree that he was probably one of the friendliest people that you could possibly meet. While the time that I spent working with you in TRADOC was short, the knowledge that you passed along was immense. Each morning that I go to work and pass your desk to get to mine, I am reminded of the vast void created by your sudden departure from us. Those that knew you, will miss you, but will cherish the all the guidance, friendship and memories that you created. Rest in peace my friend...

October 11, 2011

I got an opportunity to meet Ed and his crew in the summer of 2006, during a 30 day TDY. During my time at TRADOC I noticed how many people and organizations would contact him for "the right answer". While we talked, I observed and learned about many things at the TRADOC level of ammunition...thank you Ed!

I feel privileged to have had a recent encounter with Ed this summer at Rock Island. Even though he did not remember me at first, his memory quickly returned to our little time in an expansive life of love, happiness, compassion and professionalism. He filled me in on the whereabouts of the others in his office at time and what was happening in their lives. He always cared about those he had an opportunity to share time with. And, he knows we ALL cared about him and always will!
