Edward Eugene Simpkins

Edward Eugene Simpkins, known to many as "little Big Six or Hook" was born on July 24, 1955, to the late Robert and Annie Simpkins in Pensacola, Florida. On February 18, 2021, Edward was called home to be with the Lord. To forever cherish his legacy, Edward leaves, his beloved wife of forty-four years, Debra Simpkins of Pensacola, Florida. His three daughters (e.g. my girls), Dr. Nicoletta (Michael) Alexander of Cape Coral, Florida, Trissi (Darryl) Gray of Dallas, Texas, and Tiffany (Willie) Northern of Washington, D.C. His beloved grandchildren Darryl Gray, Jr. (DJ), Jasmine Gray, Michael Alexander, Jr. (MJ), Summer Northern, Melvin Northern, and niece/granddaughter Melissa Perry. His godchildren Candace Hemphill, Torion Hardin, and Sterling Hardin. His special aunt, the late Hattie Green (Aunt Sweetie), and his loving siblings: Boston (late Pearlie) Simpkins, Annie Simpkins, Vernetta Simpkins, Elaine Simpkins, Fredrick Simpkins all of Pensacola, Florida; Sharon (Alfred) Simpkins-Jones of Montgomery, Alabama; Charles (Yolanda) Simpkins and loving brother in law, Walter Means of Dallas, Texas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

12 pm - 6 pm

Graveside Services will take place on March 6, 2021, at 10:00 am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel and Memorial Park. Due to COVID, space is limited. Masks and social distancing are required.
