I am heartbroken to hear of Elayne's passing. May her memory be a blessing and her loved ones find comfort in the love of those surrounding you during this time. It was an honor and a privilege to be a friend of Elayne's, we sat for years on both the Bet Shira Congregation and an endowment BOD's, she always spoke words of wisdom. Her welcoming smile, concern about others and caring demeanor speaks volumes of what an incredible woman she was. Jay and I will miss her very much.
With love to her family, Riva and Jay Steinman

Earlier today
Marlene and I will always remember how incredibly welcoming Aunt Elayne was to us. When we were dating in high school, we would occasionally ride our bikes over to Elayne and Moie's house for a "surprise" visit. Elayne would stop whatever she was doing at the time and invite us in for as long as we wanted.
That welcoming spirit never ceased. Even when it was no longer easy to go out and meet, she was willing and eager to spend some time with us whenever we visited. Her energy, vitality, curiosity, generosity, and deep love for her family and friends have been passed down through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as a deserving legacy for such a truly special person.

I was truly saddened to read that Elayne was no longer with us. For all my time at the Miami Jewish Home, Elayne and Moie both were touchstones of our Founders & cruise programs. Their memories should be ongoing gifts of love to their next generations!

We, her sorority sisters from Miami High, will deeply miss our friend, Elayne. We all looked forward to our monthly zoom meetings ... before that the annual lunches. We were friends for so many years ... through our joys and our sorrows ... and yet, through the terrible losses that Elayne endured, there was always a smile on her beautiful face. We are going to miss her so very much.
