Elizabeth Ball Obituary

Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Ball, 88, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, June 22, 2018, at Tender Touch Assisted Living.

She was a native of Hardin County, a member of St. James Catholic Church and a medical assistant for Dr. William Handley for more than 20 years. Her family was her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix David Ball; and her parents, Harley and Eliza­beth Akers.

She is survived by a son, Mike (Julie Ann) Ball of Campbellsville; five daughters, Patty Sears of Antioch, Tennessee, Peggy "Sam" Gilpin of Elizabethtown, Jeanie (Don) Upton of Henderson­ville, Tennessee, and Susie (David) Peterson and Kathy "Larry" Richardson, all of Elizabethtown; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A prayer vigil is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
