Mary Lou Buchheit (Sthamann) was born on September 16, 1932, and left this life on September 12, 2025. She was born in Perham, Minnesota. Her parents were Charles and Gertrude Sthamann. Mary Lou and her family moved to Oregon when she was 10 years old. She was a loving wife to Paul "Bing" Buchheit who preceded her in death on November 30, 2020. They were high school sweethearts and were married for 67 years. They traveled a lot during their marriage as Paul was in the Air Force. When he retired, they returned to Silverton, Oregon. They built a home, bought a business with two of Paul's brothers and continued to travel. She was very involved at St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was in charge of the funeral luncheons for many years. She loved to cook and bake, and she was excellent at both. Her cinnamon rolls and pies were famous, and her fried chicken was amazing! She was a loving and caring mother to her 7 children: Gayle Agee (Brent), Denise Buchheit (deceased), Jacque Cox (Jim), Susan Six, Diane Codling (Mike), Nancy Smith and Paul Buchheit. She was adored by her 12 grandkids: James, Mark, Britt, Colby, Thomas, Rebecca, Allison, Joseph, Denise, Riley, Gage and Tanner. They all have great memories of the adventures and fun they had with her. She has 9 great grandchildren: Taylor, Crosby, Kimber, Natalia, Hayden, Adeline, Hiram, Abigail, and Kennedy. We will all miss her and the love and laughter she shared with each of us. Mary Lou's service will be on October 2, 2025, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Silverton, Oregon. There will be a rosary at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass at 10:30. There will be a luncheon at 12:00 at the hall at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
