Elizabeth Sherrill Obituary
Elizabeth Kay Box Sherrill, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born November 18, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Bennie Merle Pool Box and Wilburn Leslie Box.
Kay was a devoted member of Woodridge Baptist Church in Shreveport for many years. She worked for the Caddo Parish School System driving a school bus for 30 plus years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing bingo and dominos.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Curtis C. Sherrill of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Sue Green; four grandchildren, Dusty Sherrill, Chase Sherrill, Cami Sherrill and Callie Sherrill; two great grandchildren; brother-in-law Paul Sherrill and sister-in-law Barbara Box. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Sherrill; son, Donald W. Sherrill, Jr.; parents and brother, Madison Box.
A visitation for Kay will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A graveside service will occur Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chuck McInturf officiating.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Tommie, John and Molly. They would also like to thank the Doctors and staff at Chateau at Montclair.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Woodridge Baptist Church, 850 E Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101.

I was reading an article in Daily Guidelines 1983. I read an older edition every year. I was 38yrs. when I first read it then again 65 yrs. when I reread in 2011. This year, 2022 I'm 76 & Elizabeth Sherrill's article stood out to me so much that I looked her up on google. My next step is to get one of her published books. Her words live on. Bless her family & friends.
