Eloise Horton Obituary

Eloise Catherine Horton, of Midland, Texas, with her family by her side, went home to heaven on Thursday, November 21, 2014. Eloise was born in Houston, Texas on November 20, 2013, to Allyse and Robert Horton. She was born into a very loving family who adored her. Despite facing a lot of pain and struggle, she brought happiness to every person who was blessed to know her. Her smile was the greatest source of joy for her family. She showed her family how precious life is and to cherish those that you hold dear. She taught us to celebrate everyday that you are given and to find happiness in the small things. She taught us with every challenge you have the opportunity to grow stronger. Although her life was far too short, we were blessed with every moment we shared with her. Eloise had a fighting spirit that continues to inspire. Eloise is preceded in death by her great grandparents Perry Robert Horton and Pauline Baumgart Horton, both of Mineral Wells, Texas. Her great grandmother, Betty Lou Adams, of Mineral Wells, Texas and great grandfather, Jesse Alton Ross, of Midland, Texas. Eloise is survived by her parents, Allyse and Robert Horton, her brother, Andrew Charles Horton and twin sister, Mary Emma Horton. Her grandparents, Theresa and John Hillman and Susan and Jay Horton, both of Midland, Texas. Her aunt and uncles, Mollye Hillman, John Michael Hillman, Drew Plagens, Debbie and Scott Horton of Fort Worth, Texas and Kelly and Jarrett Vick. Her cousins Kyle Vick, Carter Vick, Whitt Horton and Wyatt Horton. Her great grandparents, Gail and Bill Adams of Mineral Wells, Texas, Colleen Michael, Harlan Michael, and Martha Ross all of Midland, Texas. She is survived by a large loving family who will always cherish her. Eloise had many people who supported and cared for her. They allowed her to struggle less and for her family to have more time to enjoy her. A very large thank you to her caregivers; Lindsay Williams, Linda Martinez, Ayodeji "Anthony" Ilesanmi, Dianna White and Beatriz Castañeda She also was loved by the medical staff at both Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Cook Children's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She was lovingly looked over by her pediatrician Dr. Barbara Wood, M. D. and her hospitalist Dr. Daniel Gebhard, M.D. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Midland, Texas at 10:00am presided by Monsignor Larry Droll. Her family had a hard time choosing where they would like donations made to in lieu of flowers because she touched and was touched by so many people. She also gave and was given to by so many people. Therefore, her family would be honored if you would make a donation in her name to the charity of your choice.
