Encarnacion, Emmanuel N. 06/17/1941 ~ 10/15/2014 SAN DIEGO -- Emmanuel "Manny"* Nazaire Encarnacion, age 73, passed away in San Diego, CA, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, after a battle with leukemia and pneumonia. Emmanuel was born June 17, 1941, in Santa Isabel, Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. He joined the United States Navy until retiring in 1980. He went on to work for the United States Postal Service and retired in 2004. Emmanuel was a member of the Kawiteños, the Tirona High School Class of '58 Reunion, and the Palm Avenue McBuddies. Emmanuel is survived by his wife Rita, two daughters Irene and Emma, their mother Evangeline, a son Leonardo "Bobby",* four grandchildren, and sisters Anita Berango and Flora Encarnacion of the Philippines. Emmanuel was preceded in death by older brothers Levi, Arturo, Ruben, Pampilo, Jaime, and Alberto. Manny will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. Visitations will be held Saturday, October 25th, and Sunday, October 26th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, Bonita. Military honors will be observed promptly at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th, at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27th, at St. Charles Catholic Church.
