My family has been blessed to have Erika as a close neighbor and friend for the past 6 years. The grace and strength which she displayed over this past year has been a true inspiration to those of us round her. I will truly miss seeing her smiling face, how she was always happy and never missed a witty or sarcastic comment to keep me on my toes. She loved life, family and telling stories of her weekend activities with Cricket and the boys, or holiday trips with family. Thanks for sharing the pictures it was great to get a glimpse of Erika’s life prior to Charlotte. Our prayers are with your family during this sad time. Erika, we’ll miss you - but know we will see you again one day, God Bless!

Our cul-de-sac enjoyed many happy times with our good friend Erika. Her spirited exuberance was joyful to witness. She gave her love, support, compassion and candid advice whenever the many occasions warranted to all of us. We grew fond of seeing her participate in the lives of her niece and family nearby and family afar, and how you rallied around her, before and after her cancer. She spoke of you often, and we have come to know and admire and love you, as our own neighbor. Erika had a kind, guiding and patient way with the children she watched grow up on our street outside her door. She patiently enjoyed their turn arounds in her driveway, the tree climbing in her yard, the hideaways among her trees, and sharing the bunny nests around her yard. Her presence will continue to be missed here. Thank you for the beautiful pictures of her life. I miss walking home from Smithfield with her and Lucas. None of us will forget her, my fellow PA neighbor, now watching us from Heaven, with that beautiful smile on her face. Know that her memory will always bring a smile to ours. We send our deepest condolences to her parents, sister and brother and your families. With God's enduring love, may you continue to be comforted.

I am so deeply saddened to learn of Erika’s death. Erika was one of the kindest, friendliest, most upbeat people I have ever met. I was one of her pet sitters and sat for Nyssa over Christmas. I was so fond of them both. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.

Words cannot describe how heartbroken my wife and I feel. I consider myself blessed to have had the chance to know her. The only happiness I feel is that knowing she is with her John. Our prayers also to her family in this time of sadness.
