I will always remember Ferd and his laugh at the many classes that I took through the NH Impact Center. His legacy will live on through the work of the many people that he taught. My condolences to the family for the loss of their loved one.

Perhaps, the Father of New Hampshire Math Education, the first and longest serving math consultant at the NHDOE and one of the founders of NHTM (New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics). Although Ferd was semi-retired by the time I become involved in NHTM and state mathematics education, I had the pleasure of working with him on at least one state standards revision and interacting with him at several conferences. I remember being a little nervous the first time he was in the audience of one of my presentations, but his smile, attentive eyes, and eagerness to hear the old topic in a new voice set me right at ease. I found him to be very humble and eager to help others achieve despite being a resident expert in the field. His gifts have been and will be remembered.--Terri Magnus, President-Elect NHTM

Myrna, I only briefly met Fern when he helped you set up at Our House craft sales. What an amazing man he was. I was also surprised that my husband and I met Kira when my husband worked with her husband at Morse and Martin. Our condolences to you and your family.

Hello. To all of the family we send our sincere condolences. I always thought uncle Ferd was a great guy. He was instrumental in getting me interested in math and science when I was very young. May he rest in peace. With sympathy, Frank and Carol Prevost

A Note from a Neighbor:
Ferd was a kind, thoughtful gentleman.
He was a very good neighbor.
My time with him was brief, usually conversation in the street. Every conversation we shared started by Ferd asking me how I was doing, followed by how each member of my family was doing as-well.
Often we would discuss how the neighborhood had changed so much over the years. Sometimes we would discuss, his years in Mathematics or the weather.
I could tell he was a very intelligent man who truly loved the life he had chosen to live. He said a few times that the dividends outweighed work, but doing the work is where the fun began..
It took me a minute to process what he was talking about, but it suddenly became apparent when I would look at my family, home and life with open eyes.
I believe Ferd Jules Prevost was a wiser man than even he ever knew.
I only was blessed to have known him. Although our neighborly friendship was brief just a bit over 7 years.
My encounter with him were always thoughtful, meaningful and memorable.
I am a better man for knowing him.
Rest Easy Ferd
You will be missed by the Neighborhood , and my family.
You are truly a man that can claim your time here on earth was not wasted. The world is now a better and smarter place because you were in it.
There is a brief poem that I have been working on for years, and I just figured out how to end it. So I dedicate it finalization to you Ferd.

Rhythms & Melodies
Rhythms and Melodies of sweet children's ryms
Soft velvet rose peddles and sips of sweet wine
For these are the things that draw me apart, they fill up my head a clutter my heart.
The fresh smell of bread you smell from a far, that soft engine purr from that fancy dream car.
For these are the things that draw me apart, they fill up my head and clutter my heart.
The Sounds & Laughter with children at play, the warmth from sunshine on that bright summer's day.
For these are the things that draw me apart, they fill up my head and clutter my heart.
The cluster of numbers that cover the sheet, that neighborly greeting when we met on the street.
For these are the things that draw me apart they fill up my head and clutter my heart.
Ferdand Jules Prevost the completion of this poem Is dedicated to you
I will always remember your smile, neighbor.
Rest easy.
