Flora Paster Obituary
It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the death of Flora Ann Paster on July 31, 2025. Born in St. Louis, Flora was the loving daughter of Philip & Charlotte Kopitsky and sister of Harvey Kopitsky (Cenith) and was married to her loving husband, Phillip James (Jim) Paster, for 62 wonderful years. She was the loving mother of Robert W. Paster, Andrew J. Paster, and David J. Paster, and the adoring grandmother of Steven P. Paster (Dr. Abby Finkle) and Leah D. Paster.
Flora was a graduate of Ladue High School and attended Sophie Newcomb college at Tulane University before graduating from Boston University where she earned a teaching degree and taught grade school in Massachusetts and St. Louis until the birth of her sons. She continued her gift of learning with many years of volunteer service at the Miriam School in St. Louis. Upon the births of her grandchildren she became a loving and doting grandmother, and spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, at 1:30 pm at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road, Creve Coeur, Missouri, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
