Francis Joseph "Frank" Sikora Obituary

Funeral service for Francis Joseph "Frank" Sikora Sr., 80, will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sikora passed away on Monday at his daughter's residence. Survivors include his children, Deb Carpenter (Johnny), Victor Sikora (Shannon), Frankie Sikora Jr., Terry Sikora (Schanee), Janet Sikora and Michelle Sikora (Brock); 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann Sebek and Theresa Comtton (David). Mr. Sikora is preceded in death by wife, Mildred Sikora and son, John Daniel Sikora. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mr. Sikora was a native of Byesville, Ohio and a resident of Alabama for most of his life. He was a Journalist for various magazines. He was an author of a book that became a movie. Mr. Sikora worked for the Gadsden Times and retired from the Birmingham News. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
