Hello, my name is William DiCiurcio and I live in NJ and I went to Rollins College with Frank. My son is visiting Columbus today for a sporting event so I thought I would look up Frank's contact info and call him, only to be shocked to see he passed away. Frank and I were good friends and lived next door to each other freshman year. Frank was a generous and kind friend and loved to laugh. I remember freshman year Frank had a conversion van and very fast souped up camaro at college. Frank and I went on some adventures like the time he and I drove to Bal Harbour to stay at one of the families condos. it was just Frank and I but we had a great time. During school we would all pile into Frank's van and go to local steak house and I remember Frank paying the tab for all of us and writing "Thanks Dad" on the credit card receipt. And how he loved his Ohio State Football. At the time i believe Art Schlister was the QB. Most of my memories from freshman year involve Frank one way or another like the time campus safety booted his van for unpaid parking tickets. Campus safety had just purchased the boot and Frank's van was its first target. Frank would have none of this so later that night he and I went to see if we could remove the boot. My roommate at the time worked campus safety as a work study student so while he stood as lookout for the real campus police, Frank and I found that they had improperly fitted the boot and we were able to pry it off without breaking it. Later that night in our dorm room the head of Campus safety came in and said " we don't care about the tickets, we just want to know how you removed the boot and wanted us to return it". We made a deal that we would return the boot if the tickets were wiped away which they happily agreed. I can go on for hours talking about Frank h was such a fun and great guy. I see he was blessed with four children, I too have four kids and I cannot imagine how painful this time must be. I know Frank was proud of his family and constantly talked about Columbus in college. I will say a prayer for Frank and all of you he has left behind. Should anyone want to hear more stories about Frank's college days, I can be reached at [email protected]. My sincerest condolences to you children and all those who knew and loved Frank,

I did not know Mr. Byers .I clean for numerous people at Heron Bay. I had a client this passed May that decided to stiff me for 15 hrs of very hard work at her house. He caught wind of this and gave me a check to cover the bill. What a generous and selfless thing to do for a total stranger. I must admit that when i saw that Mr. Byers was born in 1962,i was surprised because i too was born that same year. It was indeed a blessing to my family and myself. I am so sorry for your loss and ur pain . God speed REST IN PEACE FRANK BYERS

Our deepest sympathy to Bryan, Brandon, Brittany, Brooke and the entire Byers Family. Losing your Dad is never easy no matter how old you are. Thankfully you have many happy family memories of fun times to help you through this. Your Dad was so kind and generous and treated our son John like one of his own. May you find comfort in each other and remember you have family and friends who are praying for you.
