Frank Grillo Obituary
NORWICH – Frank E. Grillo, 65, died unexpectedly on Tuesday at Backus Hospital.
Frank was born in Germany on Nov. 3, 1952 to the late Francisco "Frank" and Hedwig "Hedy" (Bachmann) Grillo. After graduating from NFA in 1971, Frank worked at Electric Boat for 15 years, leaving to pursue his own business only to return to the workforce at Collins and Jewell until his passing. His life was NHRA drag racing and family. He could always be found at work, home or the racetrack. He was an amazing father, outstanding grandfather, devoted brother, loving fiancé and mentor to many.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly Grillo, sister; Heddy Emmerich and husband Jeff, grandson; Michael D. Grillo, fiancé Jean Sullivan and step-son; Matthew Viscione and countless extended family members, and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, April 21st from 8:30 – 10:30am at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 180 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT. Burial will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Our sincerest condolences to Jean, Matt, Kelly, Heddy and the rest of the Grillo family. I, Donna Landry, have known Frank for 53 years. He was once family through my marriage to Paul Landry. I kept in touch with his Dad until his death. He came from a very loving family. He has also been a friend and tennant to my fiance Ron Donovan for many years. We were shocked to hear of his death. We are in FL or we would have definitely attended his funeral.

Jean I am so sorry for your loss. Frank was an awesome person. I have a lot good memories of Frank from racing and when he worked with Tony. He is someone I will never forget and I'm going to miss driving by seeing him outside and stopping to say hi. You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
