Gary M. Brust, 63, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the Charlier Hospice Center at Deaconess VNA Plus. He was born July 8, 1952, in Evansville.
Gary was retired from Whirlpool Corporation. He was a jack of all trades and a hard worker. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and loved all kinds of animals (especially his dachshunds; Molly, Bitsy, and Zoey). He liked caring for his goldfish pond, used to race pigeons and hunt. But the most important thing to Gary was his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his wife, Dianna Brust; sons, Brian (Danielle) and Corey Brust and Joshua Schwartz; daughter Erica (Chris) Schmidt; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Jeff (Raven), Chris (Stephanie) and Patrick (Kim) Brust; sisters, Brenda (Hank) Paul and Rosie (Lonnie) Adcock; mother, Delores Erkman; aunt and godmother, Doris Becker; mother-in-law, Dorothy Crick; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws.
Funeral Services will be 5:30PM Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 to 5:30PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Vanderburgh Humane Society. Condolences may be made online at AlexanderNorthChapel.com.

My condolences Dianna. I worked with Gary at IRD and thought the world of him. I especially admired his love of family. I last saw you and Gary at the holiday meal all of us shared at Wolf's. He was a good friend and a great man. My heart is deeply saddened by your loss.

I worked under Gary for several Months in Maintenance. What a good soul. If he was as good a man out in the real world as he was at work. The world was blessed with his being there! God Rest you Gary.
