I met George at the Coopersville jam session several years ago, and enjoyed his warm friendship very much. He & I play harmonica, and I'd accompany him on my guitar when he asked. We love our veterans, especially ones that play harmonica. :) George is missed very much. Our sympathies go out to you folks, his family.

George was a wonderful, dear man and a gentle soul! We always looked forward to going to church at CMC knowing George would be there greeting us with a SMILE and a Good Morning. Heaven is a brighter place with George in it!

We met George at Pioneer Village ... I have a signed copy of his war memories. I would often tell him "it's hard to beat you old artillery guys at shuffleboard". He would smile. We will miss him.

Connie and family, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Knowing he is reunited with your Mom and suffers no more has got to bring you joy. What a wonderful tribute it was to him playing his harmonica one last time in church. I so enjoyed listening to him on facebook. May God give you peace and comfort as you say your goodbyes until you are together once more. My deepest condolences are with you and the whole family. God Bless You.
