GEORGE KENNETH RODGERS  
Our Father, our Hero, on November 14, 2010; beloved father of Kathryn R. Creech, Judy R. Mitrano and Nancy R. Megas; grandfather of Kate and Margaret Creech, Jennifer and Marc Mitrano and Matt, Elizabeth and Sarah Megas. Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Embrey Rodgers. His was a legacy of kindness and unconditional love; anyone who's life he touched found themselves lifted by his ever present optimism and sense of humor. A retired executive Mr. Rodgers was a life long resident of the Washington, DC area and at the time of his death resided at the Gardens in Fairfax, VA. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the EVERLY FUNERAL HOME, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA. Family is grateful for the outpouring of sympathy they have received and in lieu of flowers request donations be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, www.apdaparkinson.org in honor of his wife Margaret.www.everlyfuneralhomes.com

I know how much you will all miss your dad and granddad. I will also miss him since I had the pleasure of his company on several occasions over the last few years. George was always cheerful and giving and an absolute pleasure to be around. My love and thoughts are with you.
